Fiber Grade Spunbound Nonwoven Flagship Differentiated Grade

HP565S

PP Fiber Grade for Spunbound & SMS Nonwoven

A purpose-engineered polypropylene fiber grade from leading Chinese mills, optimized for high-speed spunbound nonwoven lines. With a narrow molecular weight distribution, low extractables, and outstanding spinnability, HP565S delivers the fiber uniformity and fabric strength that hygiene, medical, and agricultural nonwoven manufacturers depend on.

Why HP565S

Engineered for the Demands of Modern Nonwoven Lines

Three properties separate a commodity PP from a true fiber-grade resin. HP565S is controlled tightly on all three — the reason it runs reliably at 400–600 m/min line speeds.

Excellent Spinnability

Consistent melt strength and draw performance enable stable filament formation at high line speeds — fewer broken filaments, fewer line stoppages, higher uptime.

Narrow Molecular Weight Distribution

Tight MWD produces uniform fiber denier and even web formation — directly translating to consistent fabric basis weight, tensile strength, and MD/CD balance.

Low Extractables

Minimal volatiles and surface additives — critical for hygiene and skin-contact products, and for meeting medical fabric regulatory requirements.

Applications

Typical Applications

HP565S is the workhorse resin for spunbound and SMS nonwoven across hygiene, medical, agricultural, and packaging end-uses. The low-extractable, narrow-MWD profile makes it especially suited to skin-contact and regulated applications.

Spunbound Nonwoven

The primary application. HP565S runs on Reicofil, Oerlikon, and domestic Chinese spunbound lines, producing uniform PP filament webs calendered into nonwoven fabric in a range of basis weights (10–150 gsm).

10–150 gsm MD/CD balanced

SMS Nonwoven

Spunbound-Meltblown-Spunbound composite for medical and hygiene barrier fabrics. HP565S serves as the spunbound layers, providing tensile strength and structural integrity around the meltblown barrier core.

Hygiene & Sanitary Products

Top sheets, acquisition layers, and back sheets for diapers, sanitary napkins, and adult incontinence products. Low extractables and skin-contact safety make HP565S a natural fit for these sensitive applications.

Medical Protective Wear

SMS fabric from HP565S is converted into surgical gowns, drapes, coveralls, and face mask components — providing the fluid and particulate barrier required in medical settings.

Agricultural Nonwoven

Crop covers, nursery shade fabric, and weed-control fabric. UV-stabilized HP565S nonwoven protects seedlings and extends growing seasons while allowing light and water transmission.

Packaging & Bags

Shopping bags, gift wrap, and industrial packaging nonwoven. Durable, printable, and recyclable — a practical alternative to woven and film packaging in many segments.

Processing

Processing Recommendations

HP565S is designed for high-speed spunbound lines. The settings below cover the typical operating window; optimize based on your specific die geometry, quench air, and calender pressure.

Melt Temperature 220 – 240 °C
Spinning (Die) Temperature 230 – 250 °C
Line Speed 400 – 600 m/min
Quench Air Temperature 18 – 25 °C
Calender Temperature 120 – 140 °C
Drying (recommended) 80 °C / 2–3 h
Tip: For SMS lines, maintain stable die temperature within ±2 °C to preserve filament denier uniformity — the single most important factor in fabric tensile consistency.
